Parking Lot Line Painting & Restriping in Western Canada

Faded lines cost you stalls, slow down traffic and create liability. Stonehouse lays out and paints commercial lots with crisp, durable markings, from a single restripe to a full redesign after sealcoating.

Restripe or redesign?

If your layout works and the lines have just faded, a restripe traces the existing pattern with fresh paint. It’s fast and usually done overnight or on a weekend.

After sealcoating, or when stall counts, accessible parking or traffic flow need to change, we lay out the lot from scratch. A good re-layout can recover lost stalls and make the lot safer to drive and walk.

Either way, painting right after a sealcoat gives the sharpest, longest-lasting result, which is why most of our lots are booked as a package.

Our process

How a line painting job runs

  1. 1Walk the lotCount stalls, check accessible requirements and note traffic problems.
  2. 2Sweep and prepSweep and blow the surface clean and dry so paint bonds to the pavement, not the dust.
  3. 3Layout and paintSnap and mark the new layout (or confirm the existing one for a restripe), then paint lines, symbols and stencils.
  4. 4Open and reportCones come up once paint is set, with photos of the finished lot.

Line painting questions

How often should parking lot lines be repainted?

Most commercial lots in Alberta need restriping every 1 to 3 years. Snow plows, sand and heavy traffic wear lines faster in drive lanes and entrances.

Can you paint at night or on weekends?

Yes. Most commercial restriping is scheduled after hours so the lot is ready for the next business day.

Do you handle accessible parking requirements?

Yes. We lay out accessible stalls, aisles and symbols to the requirements of the municipality where the property sits.

Do you do line painting in Calgary and Edmonton?

Yes. We take commercial line painting across Alberta and travel to the BC Interior and Saskatchewan for larger projects and portfolios.

Get your lot restriped

Tell us the property and roughly how many stalls, and add a few photos. We can quote most restriping jobs remotely, wherever the lot is.
