Find answers to commonly asked questions about Line Painting & Markings
How often should parking lot lines be repainted?
Most parking lots should be re-striped every 1–2 years, depending on traffic, weather, and wear. High-traffic areas may need more frequent touch-ups to maintain visibility.
Why is line painting important?
Clear, visible markings improve safety, traffic flow, and organization. They help prevent accidents, reduce confusion, and ensure your property looks professional and well-maintained.
What types of markings do you provide?
We handle all standard and custom markings, including stall lines, handicap/accessible symbols, directional arrows, fire lanes, loading zones, crosswalks, and no-parking areas.
How long does line painting take?
Most projects can be completed quickly, often within a day depending on the size of the lot. We work efficiently to minimize disruption to your property., often over night.
When can vehicles drive on freshly painted lines?
Typically, paint dries within 30 minutes to a few hours depending on weather conditions. We’ll provide guidance on when it’s safe to reopen the area.
What type of paint do you use?
We use high-quality, durable traffic paint designed to withstand vehicle wear and Alberta weather conditions. Generally Waterborne paint is the more eco friendly and versatile paint for re-striping over fresh sealed asphalt. For line painting on old asphalt that we are not seal coating, we can use solvent based.
